  • Conducted analysis of historical budget data used to present findings to executive leadership

  • Researching blockchain technology in supply chains, including key market players and systems utilized or considered by US and intl supply-chain stakeholders by developing linear regression models

  • Assessing the impacts of the coronavirus on US supply chains, incl effects on trade and commodity flows using Excel

  • Aided the digital transformation strategy implementation for a $4.9b nutrition company in a team of 5 by implementing design thinking processes, researching customer pain points, and producing a 39-page deliverable presented to the VP of Sales.

  • Analyzed ecommerce and sales data using V-LOOKUP in Excel to create pivot tables, competitor comparison charts, identify market trends, customer pain points, and evaluate company performance in comparison to other players in the global market.

  • Quantified consumer purchasing behaviors for a $1.9 billion medical-technology company by analyzing customer segmentation methodologies, assessing customer health scores, conducting qualitative interviews, and collecting data on sales volumes as a design thinking facilitator.

Dr. Imerman taught me as a student in his graduate FinTech class, and directly supervised me in on the revision and development of the case study, with additional input from Mr. Jain.

ECONOMICS RESEARCH INTERN JUN–SEP 2020

  • Facilitated in-depth analysis about the Japanification of China’s economy by drawing comparative insights for Ligang Liu, Chief China Economist; culminated in a 73 page research paper from English to Mandarin to be published in Liu’s book.

  • Delineated similarities and differences between China’s current economy with those of Japan’s before and after its asset bubble in the 1980s with respect to their growth strategies, industrial policy, labor productivity, property bubbles, geopolitical trade tensions with the US, financial/capital account liberalization, and high external demands.

  • Drew implications from research to predict future foreseeable patterns about China’s economy such as leveraging low per-capita income to make supply-side reforms and tackling corporate debt issues through policy control.

  • Generated actionable insights directly working with the CEO to diversify art therapy treatment frameworks and applications for the mentally handicapped, and collaborated with 12 international schools in Shanghai and presented in front of the executive board using Microsoft Powerpoint, with the action plan successfully adopted.
