Hi, I’m Alice!
Welcome to my website

I'm a recent graduate of Claremont McKenna College, a member of the little ivy leagues of the west and WSJ’s #1 liberal arts college, and current Deals Strategy Associate at Strategy& PwC. In my present role, I purely conduct private equity commercial due diligence (CDD) consulting for private equity clients including a combination of megafunds such as Blackstone, KKR, Warburg Pincus etc and smaller, midcap firms. Specifically, I make investment acquisition recommendations by building financial models, conducting competitor benchmarking, survey analysis, and industry expert campaigns. Moreover, I served as the Treasurer of the entire PwC associate and senior associate class (~7k people) and Co-Chair of the Learning and Development Committee.
Prior to my job, I have completed 3 strategy consulting internships at Strategy& PwC where I returned to join full-time, EY Parthenon, and the Office of Strategy at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Additionally, I also did 2 finance internships as an Economics Research Intern at Citigroup and a Financial Engineering FinTech Research Assistant at the nearby MBA institution of the Claremont consortium. Academically, I studied philosophy and cognitive science but enrolled in graduate-level business and finance courses at the nearby MBA institution to strengthen my business foundation and acumen.

Something that is important to me but cannot be fully conveyed through my resume are my values; one of the greatest values that motivates me is knowing that I’m a helpful, caring team-player. For example, I vividly recall the universal sigh of relief from my managers and senior associates when I showed up with an armful of coffee and bagels during a tough project—a brief but well welcomed break that boosted our productivity. Before logging off, I always check in with my teammates to see where I can further support and share my completed tasks and to-do’s without being asked. The combination of my analytical background and empathetic personality makes me realize that I value working in a supportive, collaborative team where camaraderie is encouraged, as it creates an environment where I can grow and contribute meaningfully.

Outside of work, I try my best to give back and be a community-leader. For instance, I served in student senate throughout all 4 years of undergrad—most notably as the Chair of the Executive Board and Vice President of Finance. Now I continue to serve in a similar position as the Treasurer/Co-Chair of PwC’s junior leadership council. In college, I was also a First-Generation mentor for the Robert Kravis Leadership Institute for Social Impact where I mentored seven first-gen freshmen students to develop college success skills. Additionally, I am a Fellow/alum of the Randal Lewis Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (RLCIE) Fellowship and am in the process of becoming a board member to help launch their podcast and Venture-Accelerator program. Recreationally, lately I enjoy singing, traveling, exploring new restaurants in the city, going to art museums, cooking/baking for friends and family, and occasionally taking on a game of tennis or pickle-ball.

PROJECTS

MY ENDEAVORS AS A MODERN RENAISSANCE WOMAN

MY FORMER ART CAREER

Before entering college, I was an international artist featured in 8 exhibitions worldwide, including MoCA Shanghai and the Shanghai Sino-Jewish Museum. My experience as a young, international artist has allowed me to hone a fine eye for detail, zeal for big-picture thinking, and lifelong curiosity. I now aim to channel my creativity through professional endeavors such as problem-solving and adding value to clients in innovative ways.

You can view more of my work as an artist on my Artist CV page.

If you would like to place a commission, feel free to do so on my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/il-en/people/alicedreamershi or contact me at ashi23@students.claremontmckenna.edu expressing your interest.

Nowadays, I find ways to channel my creativity through a variety of other outlets;
problem-solving in consulting is just one of them!

IN MY FREE TIME

You can find me exploring new restaurants with friends in Manhattan, hosting charcuterie board and wine nights in my apartment rooftop, or browsing through Epicurious’ cooking videos on weekends. I also like to sing Taylor Swift and Disney songs, go skiing on holidays, and sometimes I enjoy soaking in the breathtaking views as I’m running along the West Side Highway. Moreover, I’m always keeping an eye out for a good deal on stylish clothing. I am constantly adding to my repertoire of classic, timeless pieces to my wardrobe—and when time allows for it, I love discovering new hidden gems and boutique stores in the neighborhood. My favorite times to do when I have time to travel is go site-seeing, wander through art galleries, and visit historical museums.

Additionally, I take immense delight in having intellectual conversations and putting my thoughts onto paper; after all, I am a philosophy major! My most recent philosophical obsession has been about the Problem of Evil explored in the dialogue “Ring of Gyges” of Plato’s Republic. Outside my work and academics— in a tangible nutshell— I love to create: whether that be in the form of meaningful relationships, artistic or written expressions, or wholesome goods freshly baked out of the oven. As a byproduct of my creative endeavors, I love to bring people together through food, art, or volunteering.
